Fortnite’s Galactic Battle season has turned Chapter 6 into a Star Wars extravaganza, immersing players in an Imperial invasion. This mini-season, which runs until June 7, has a Galactic Battle Pass filled with iconic characters such as General Grievous, Darth Maul, and Mace Windu, as well as fabled weaponry like lightsabers and blasters.

New map POIs, X-Wings, TIE Fighters, and Force abilities have changed the meta by replacing traditional guns with energy-based warfare. Players are diving into secret Star Wars story quests and chasing rare rewards like the Ranker’s Death Star Glider.

Furthermore, a leak has surfaced that hints at the reintroduction of a fan-favorite feature, Reality Augments, that were absent in previous chapters. Here’s what the leaks look like.

Nest Star Wars update in Fortnite leaked to bring back Augments

Trusted Fortnite leaker Loolo_WRLD has revealed datamined files referencing “Anakin augment” and broader augment functionality, indicating a significant gameplay shift in Chapter 6’s Star Wars-themed mini-season. This leak, which aligns with the season’s Imperial invasion storyline, has fans excited about how augments could transform Fortnite’s galactic warfare, particularly with an Anakin Skywalker-inspired twist.

Augments, which were initially introduced in Chapter 4, were temporary perks that players may activate during a match to achieve strategic advantages such as increased mobility, resource boosts, or combat enhancements. Examples were “Light Fingers” for faster reloads and “Aerialist” for infinite glider redeploys. These allowed players to customize builds based on their playstyle, however, Epic Games removed them in Chapter 5. Their absence created a hole for those who valued tactical versatility, making this leak an alluring proposition.

The “Anakin augment” is the leak’s focus, with speculation linking it to Anakin Skywalker’s dual nature as a hero and a Sith. It could appear as a Force-based medallion, offering skills such as a forceful push or saber-throwing, or as a high-risk booster that increases damage but depletes health, mirroring Anakin’s descent. The datamined identifiers indicate that augments will work with the season’s lightsaber-heavy meta, potentially providing perks to improve Force powers or counter TIE Fighter attacks.
