Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 has begun. It’s a fun season with players noticing similarities to Helldivers 2, and there is exciting stuff to anticipate such as leaked skins for One Punch Man. While the leaked One Punch Man collaboration is exciting, there’s very little that can outdo arguably the greatest sitcom of all time, The Simpsons. Springfield’s iconic family is leaked to be joining Epic Games’ battle royale soon, and leaks have just revealed more details about The Simpsons mini-season for Fortnite.
Fortnite leak reveals The Simpsons mini-season map
According to Fortnite leaker, Blorzten, The Simpsons mini-season “should be happening in CH6 island”. As for why this appears to be the case, Blorzten reports, “A new plugin codenamed “RetroNeighbor” was added… [and] it’s set to be disabled on CH7 release (39.00) meaning it will stay for 38.00 (CH6 MS2)”.
Lastly, Blorzten says, “Whats interesting is that this plugin, that will be used in ms2, will be located/used ON CH6 MAP! Since it uses its plugins for it to work (Hermes + CH6 map)”.
For anyone confused about the codenames, RetroNeighbor is believed to be The Simpsons, and ms2 is the mini-season coming after Chapter 6 Season 4 ends. Blortzen elaborated in the replies that while the “info we have is that it’s The Simpsons,” they used ms2 “since we don’t know for sure”.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 is slated to end on November 1st, which is when leakers such as Hypex have pointed to The Simpsons mini-season starting right away. Unfortunately, nothing else about the collaboration has leaked regarding skins. There will most definitely be a skin for the series icon, Homer, and most likely the rest of his family, but it remains to be seen whether skins extend to other familiar faces in Springfield.
Unfortunately, the new of The Simpsons mini-season happening on the Chapter 6 island has left some fans disappointed. Some are disappointed that there seemingly won’t be a map set in Springfield, while others are disappointed that there seemingly won’t be a big event to end Chapter 6 Season 4.
