Epic Games has lifted the lid on the latest Fortnite content update, with version 5.40 adding yet another new weapon to the battle royale version of its popular online shooter.

The Suppressed Assault Rifle pretty much does what you imagine: it allows rapid-firing without worrying about making a racket, making it ideal for stealth kills. Still, you'll probably want to use it for precision rather than going in all guns blazing.

Elsewhere, Fortnite has also added a new Save the World Mythic Outlander into the mix, with Field Agent Rio joining the fray.

Rounding things off is Weekly Horde Challenge 6, and this time you won't be able to hide behind shields against even more aggressive Husks.

Have a butcher's at the full patch notes for the full lowdown, as there's a bunch of general bug fixes to digest, too. In related news, Fortnite apparently contributed to 5% of UK divorces this year as a result of video game addiction. Ouch.
