A treat for Fortnite metalheads everywhere is on the horizon. We’ll be able to rock out with Metallica again in the game as they’re set to return for an encore. The last time we were moshing with them was in June this year, and Epic has heard loud and clear that we want more.

Metallica returns to the Fortnite stage

Straight from the source, Fortnite has announced that we were heard loud and clear. Players wanted more Metallica, and it was announced that they would be back. The “Fuel. Fire. Fury” live event will return from August 2 to August 5.

The biggest question we have is will this event be a re-run of the original? Or can we expect something new – perhaps different goodies, game modes, or even a different set list. Let us remind you, last time this was what the set list looked like:

  1. Lux Aeterna
  2. Hit the Lights
  3. For Whom the Bell Tolls
  4. Master of Puppets
  5. Enter Sandman

Personally, I’d love to hear Wherever I May Roam and Sad But True, though One could be a bit of a downer for many. Similarly, we have to wonder if the Metallica Bundle and quests will be back in the same or changed format. You can still get most of the items from the bundle, but with an encore, there could be new stuff added.

All of this remains to be seen, but it’s good to see that live events are being taken more seriously. Fans have often asked for repeats and more frequency, and this could be a sign of us being heard. Now if we can get more rock and metal bands, that would be even better.
