Forsaken, the awesome 90s shooter that used a bunch of ads that were most definitely NSFW, is getting a bit of a modern overhaul courtesy of Nightdive Studios.

The developer has previously worked on reviving a number of classic shooters from that decade, including the recent Turok remasters for Xbox One.

Nightdive's Forsaken remaster will retain the original game's 90s aesthetic, although the frame rate will be bumped up to 60fps and throws in the exclusive content seen in the Nintendo 64 version of the shooter.

The original Forsaken launched in 1998 for the PlayStation, PC, and N64, and focuses primarily on multiplayer battles with a full 360-degrees of movement. While that may not seem like a big deal today, it certainly was 20 years ago.

Forsaken Remastered will launch on PC and Xbox One on July 31.
