On Friday night, after LA detectives concluded that Eriksson was in possession of three luxury cars that actually belonged to numerous British financial institutions, police raided Eriksson’s Bel-Air mansion and carried out a six-hour search on the property. According to the LA Times, Eriksson was then taken into custody and his $1 million black Enzo Ferrari was confiscated.

Speaking to the LA Times, Sheriff’s spokesperson Steve Whitmore said that detectives believe that the black Enzo, the red Ferrari written off in February and Eriksson’s Mercedes SLR McLaren which was seized last month, all belong to UK banks. Eriksson purchased the cars while in the UK, and took them with him when he moved to LA, but it is believed the UK banks still hold the titles to the cars with payments on them having lapsed.

This is the beginning of the investigation,” Whitmore said. “All three cars have now been confiscated.

Eriksson is currently being held without bail.
