Mike Capps has joined Alan Wake developer Remedy Entertainment on its board of directors.

Capps previously worked at Gears of War creator Epic Games, where he served as president until December 2012. He left the company in March 2013.

Remedy CEO Matias Myllyrinne explains that Capps’ appointment will help “drive the company forward”.

“I’ve known Mike for a long time as someone who I respect a lot,” Myllyrinne, told Venture Beat. “His track record speaks for itself. He was very happy to take it on. He knows our track record, but I know he believes we have an even bigger and better future that he wanted to be a part of.”

In addition to Capps, Remedy has also appointed Christian Fredrikson to its board. Fredrikson previously served as president of internet security firm F-Secure and overlooked Nokia Siemens’ Asian business.

Remedy’s next title, Quantum Break, is expected to release on Xbox One in 2014.
