Ubisoft has confirmed that Marching Fire, the next major update for medieval slash-'em-up For Honor, is getting an open test for PC users in early September.

Marching Fire's open test will kick off on September 6 at 1.00pm BST for Steam/Uplay customers, and wraps up on September 10 at 10.00pm BST. During this time, you'll have access to the four new warriors being added as part of the Wu Lin faction, as well as a chance to take the new Breach mode for a spin.

In addition, players can sample a bunch of other upcoming highlights, including the overhauled UI, perks, and the freshly-implemented dialogue system.

Marching Fire looks set to be a huge addition to For Honor's continued growth, with 22 new playable characters available as part of four new factions: the aforementioned Wu Lin, plus Knights, Vikings, and Samurai.

Marching Fire will be released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on October 16.
