For Honor will be adding four new heroes to the roster as part of Year 3 Season 1, Ubisoft has announced, the first of which is a new addition to the Knight Faction: Vortiger, aka the Black Prior.

Those of you who own For Honor's Year 3 pass will be able to snap up the Black Prior on January 31, while everyone else must wait until February 7 and cough up 15,000 Steel for the privilege. The Dark Hero is more than equipped for a good ruck, packing a meaty longsword and kite shield in battle.

'Once knights of the order of the Holy Balaur, the Black Priors were born when their leader, Vortiger was swayed by Apollyon's promises of power. With her defeat, the order dispersed and disappeared. Now, the Black Priors have returned and fight for Vortiger, seeking to make amends for their past and pledge fealty to the Knights,' says Ubisoft.

In addition to the new heroes joining the fray, Year 3 Season 1 will include a fresh map set on the shores of Lake Eitrivatnen, a location that 'holds immense strategic value.' Furthermore, the Shugoki, Warlord, and Peacekeeper heroes will also receive extra tweaks.

For Honor was released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One back in early 2017.
