Today, at a press event being held in London, SEGA and Sports Interactive have announced that Football Manager 2008 will be released in the UK and across most of Europe on October 19.

FM 2008 will feature over 5,000 playable teams from over 50 countries, with players able to select their favourite club or international team and guide them to glory in leagues, cups, European Championships and major international tournaments.

The game will include more than 100 new features, including the advisory system which will help new players through the different aspects of the game, completely revamped international management and something Sports Interactive is calling Match Flow.

Football Manager 2008 is also coming to PSP and Xbox 360, although no dates have been announced. Look out for a PC review at around the time the game hits stores.
