Popular Nintendo DS animation tool Flipnote Studio will this summer transition to 3DS with the release of Flipnote Studio 3D, Nintendo has announced via its latest Japanese Nintendo Direct broadcast.
Twitter user @Cheesemeister3k translated the broadcast.
The new free 3DS app will offer the ability to create in three layers and six colours, with the ability to output as animated GIFs, a series of GIFs or AVI movies.
In addition World Flipnote Gallery will be offered as a subscription service, but the small monthly fee will be waived if the user’s drawings are popular.
Flipnote Studio DSi community services are scheduled to end on May 31.
