App sensation Flappy Bird is back – but only if you own an Amazon Fire TV box.

The game has been reborn as Flappy Birds Family and introduces multiplayer to the classic bird through pipe gameplay which saw creator Dong Nguyen make a meteoric rise to fame.

The game’s blurb reads: “Flappy Birds now are on Amazon Fire TV with incredible new features: Person vs Person mode, more obstacles, more fun and still very hard. Enjoy playing the game at home (not breaking your TV) with your family and friends.”

It’s not clear if the game will eventually roll out on other platforms, or if indeed it will remain an Amazon exclusive.

Flappy Bird was pulled from digital stores earlier this year after creator Dong Nguyen ruled that it’s addictiveness had “become a problem”.
