Manga-inspired adventurer Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise will be hitting PlayStation 4 in the US and UK this autumn, Sega has announced.

Developed by Yakuza maestros Ryu ga Gotoku Studio, Fist of the North Star is based on the manga of the same name, and sees players hopping into the role of Kenshiro and battling against goons in an alternate universe of the original story.

Wielding Kenshiro's signature Hokuto Shinken technique, you'll use a customisable buggy to explore the vast, post-apocalyptic wastelands of earth, duffing up enemies inside out using the Seven Star gauge to fuel your arse-kicking antics.

Sega also revealed that the western version of Fist of the North Star includes extra content not seen in the Japanese release, and you'll be able to enjoy some downtime in your hideout playing retro games.

There's also side quests to hoover up in the wasteland, so you'll have plenty to tuck into beyond the main quest.

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise is due out in the US and UK on October 2.
