Yesterday Sony Computer Entertainment announced that MotorStorm 2, the sequel to the visually impressive PlayStation 3 off-road racing title, is to be released exclusively for PlayStation 3 this autumn.
The desert setting of the first game has been replaced by a tropical island, lush with vegetation and a host of obstacles from Mother Nature. The game will also sport 16-player online racing and four-player local play using split screen.
Today Sony released the first trailer for the game. Much like the very first MotorStorm trailer this is an entirely CGI affair, but it sure looks good. If you stick around until the end you’ll also get a glimpse of the all-new Monster Truck vehicle class.
With the game’s release not all that far off, the first gameplay footage and screens hopefully won’t be far away.
