Ubisoft rather quietly announced that Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 was to be released in the spring of 2007, but at the time of the announcement gave away no details about the game.

The latest issue of US magazine Game Informer brings us the first insight into the game. The magazine says that GRAW 2 will feature enhanced visuals, such as dynamic weather which will see puddles forming on the ground, and thanks to improved particle physics even more realistic dust clouds.

Enemy AI will also be improved, resulting in more realistic battles; enemies will now seek out higher ground to gain a tactical advantage. Other changes include enhancements to the Cross-Com which will enable it to pick out the biggest threat.

As for the game’s story, they’re not giving much away, but it will take place during the course of 72 hours and will be set along the US/Mexico border.
