Swedish publisher Thunderful has announced that roguelite platformer Firegirl: Hack ‘n Splash has a new trailer to mark its arrival on PC next week, and a console launch in 2022.
Firegirl: Hack ‘n Splash Rescue puts you in the role of a rookie firefighter, just starting her career. You start off with just a fire hose and an axe, and must answer calls for help to put out fires and rescue civilians in need. This means you’ll tackle blazes in procedurally generated levels in different locales. These include missions set in forests, hotels and even moving trains.
As you complete missions, you’ll earn cash that you can use to upgrade the Firehouse. You’ll come back to this base of operations between jobs to upgrade your skills and equipment. This includes stuff like boosting your jumps you can make with your hose that doubles as a jetpack. You’ll also use the funds to hire additional staff to make you better prepared for harder missions down the line.
Firegirl: Hack ‘n Splash Rescue has been dated for a December 14 release on PC. It’ll then head to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in 2022. You can check out the game’s trailer for yourself down below.
