Free-to-play MMO shooter Firefall will be launching this December, according to Red 5 Studios CEO Mark Kern.

Kern confirmed the news at this year’s ChinaJoy convention, where he was misquoted as saying the Firefall beta will begin in December.

He later clarified his statement on the official Firefall forums, stating:

“Correction. They asked me when the game was launching, and I said December. For some reason, they interpreted that as Beta.

“Sorry for the confusion.”

Recently the developer fell into legal trouble after the studio was sued by Korean MMO developer Webzen for breach of contract.
