Nintendo showed new footage of Fire Emblem Warriors at the Nintendo Direct showcase, and it’s revealed that fan-favourite Lyn will be a playable character in the musou-style brawler. The game is set to release on the New Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch on October 20, and it’s looking like quite the riot.

Lyn was one of the main characters in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade on the Gameboy Advance, and she’s also the first character to be revealed that doesn’t come from Fire Emblem: Fates, Fire Emblem: Awakening or Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light. Koei Tecmo has previously said that the character roster in Fire Emblem Warriors will be based on characters from the previous three games.

The trailer gives players a good look at the game in action, and also gives some hints and tips on how to get the most out of the game, detailing how players can use different weapon types to gain an advantage. It also demonstrates how players should use tactical planning to great effect.

A Limited Edition version of the game is coming to the Switch, and this includes some art cards and a three-CD soundtrack of the games music. If that’s your kind of thing.

Fire Emblem Warriors will be released on October 20 for the Nintendo Switch and the New Nintendo 3DS.
