Final Fantasy VIII is now available to purchase on Steam for £9.99.

The classic JRPG hit the PC platform last night, including a host of new features over the original PS1 release, including a new ‘Magic Booster’ which lets players increase their inventory of spells, achievements and Chocobo World, a mini-game previously unavailable in the Western release.

Square also claims that the game has been “optimised for modern HD PCs”.

Players interested in picking up the game can save 20 per cent off the price by heading through to Green Man Gaming and entering the code ‘GMG20-CV2W4-DSYBT’.
