The new label says that the game will be available for multiple platforms on March 3, 2021. At XO19, Phil Spencer announced that Microsoft is looking to bring the Final Fantasy games to Xbox, and there will be nine entries from the series being added to Game Pass next year. Now that we know the Project Scarlett will hit the shelves in holiday 2021, we could expect that the game will make the most of the PlayStation 5 and the “Anaconda” hardware in equal measure.
In addition, Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 development has commenced which must mean that development is going swimmingly on the first segment. We aren’t sure how many slices the Final Fantasy VII Remake will be split into, but director Tetsuya Nomura said that he is, “confident that playing through this title will expand your expectations just like the world that extends beyond Midgar.”
Final Fantasy VII Remake will launch on PlayStation 4 on March 3, 2020.
