Square Enix has released Final Fantasy VII on Nintendo Switch today, marking the first time the seminal 1997 RPG has been available on a Nintendo console. It only took 22 years!
Final Fantasy VII probably needs no introduction at this point. It's regarded by many fans as one of, if not the best entry in the venerable RPG franchise to date, and even spawned its own series under the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, which included a CG movie.
Square Enix is currently working on a full-blown remake of Final Fantasy VII, although it's fair to say you've probably got time to 100% finish the Switch version at least twice before it sees the light of day.
Check out the launch trailer below. In case you missed it, Final Fantasy VII is also available on the PSOne Classic.
