Square Enix has announced a sequel to PSP fighting game Dissidia: Final Fantasy.

Set for a Japanese release in 2011, Dissidia: Duodecim Final Fantasy 012 will once again bring together characters from the Final Fantasy series to do battle on PSP.

There’s no info right now on how the gameplay has been updated, but two new characters have been confirmed: Final Fantasy XIII’s Lightning and Kain Highwind who debuted in Final Fantasy IV.
