Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will be pushed back to a release window of summer 2020 (via Gematsu).

This is to polish and tune those “final adjustments” to the game so that players will be able to enjoy a high quality remaster that is true to the original experience. The delay is significant because the developer had set a release date of January 23, 2020 for all platforms. However, it is hoped that these extra months give the Crystal Chronicles team flexibility and adaptability with their development schedules, and avoid awful crunch conditions.

Also, the first few months of next year are looking exceptionally busy with Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, and Kingdom Hearts III ReMIND DLC jostling for time and space. Scooting Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition to the summer might work miracles for its commercial and critical performance.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will release for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices in the summer of 2020. Watch the trailer with the new release window below.
