This week has seen the launch of Filthy Animals Heist Simulator, a madcap multiplayer co-op game that sees a group of mutant animals take on a series of increasingly tricky heists.
To mark the game’s launch on PC, developers Pewter Games Studios and LoPoly Games have announced the release of a free demo of the game on their Twitter account, allowing players the chance to take on two of the game’s 21 levels for a spin for absolutely zero cost over on Steam.
Starting off with a simple convenience store robbery and building up to ever more elaborate locations, the game will see players trying to navigate the levels, solve puzzles and generally cause physics based mayhem as you control your characters in a manner similar to Gang Beasts. However, while in that game you’re trying to defeat your fellow players, here you’re trying to work together to steal and escape with your ill-gotten goods.
Of course, there’s plenty of obstacles along the way – including guards and other enemies to avoid or otherwise contend with, and environmental hazards that will give you cause to change your plans on the fly. There’s no one way to beat a level, so players are encouraged to try anything and everything as they undertake their master plans. There’s also unique abilities and power-ups to give you an additional boost – or just to increase the levels of chaos that bit more.
The full game supports both offline and online co-op, though the demo currently only supports offline multiplayer (though online support is said to be added in the future.) The game will also be coming to Xbox and PlayStation consoles “soon”, although at the time of writing a specific release date hasn’t been given.
Filthy Animals Heist Simulator is out now on PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store – and supports cross play between the two stores too. You can check out the demo for yourself on the Filthy Animals Heist Simulator Steam page.
