Gamescom will host the European premiere of Street Fighter X Tekken, one of two in development fighting games which bring together characters from the blockbuster franchises.
In addition, Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada will take on Capcom’s own fight hero, Street Fighter series producer Yoshinoro Ono. The pair will come face to face for a deadly duel at 14:00 on Thursday, August 19 in Konrad-Adenauer-Saal of the Kölnmesse.
Fans will also get the chance to compete in an on-stage tournament under the gaze of video game fighting’s greatest luminaries. Everyone who attends the event will walk away with exclusive Tekken X Street Fighter goodies, with special prizes for the tournament victors.
Eight competitors will be picked up randomly by Harada and Ono from the audience and will compete against each other along with six Tekken 6 and six Super Street Fighter 4 community members. They will all have the chance to receive special prizes given by the two video game legends.
