EA Sports is celebrating the five year anniversary of FIFA Ultimate Team. FIFA’s most popular game mode began back in FIFA 09 with 1 million users and today can claim to have been played by 21 million gamers.

“It’s hard to believe that five years has already passed FUT by, and we are thrilled to see what the future holds,” wrote the EA Sports blog. “It would not have become the most popular mode in FIFA without the dedication from the community behind it – thanks for helping to improve the mode year over year.”

To celebrate the five year mark EA Sports is giving all PC and console players five free untradeable player packs, but you’ll need to sign in before Monday to secure the items. In addition, daily gifts will be offered via the FUT web app.

And finally, EA has released an infographic which highlights just how successful FUT has become.
