The football season is well underway and Spurs are riding high at the top of the Premier League, with it likely that they’ll hang on to the top spot come the end of the season. Ok, that last sentence may have been a little over optimistic, but the football season is here and come this time we can always rely on EA to release the latest in the FIFA series. FIFA 06 is due for release on September 30th for PlayStation 2, Xbox, PC, GameCube and GBA, with the DS version arriving on October 6th and the PSP incarnation making its way onto shelves on October 21st. There is currently no date for the Xbox 360 version, but I would think it will arrive sometime this year.
EA always promise that the latest version will be better than the last and with FIFA 05 they delivered, with a game that was definitely a step in the right direction. We will find out if FIFA 06 can improve on last year’s effort this time next month.
