With Final Fantasy XIII all but done – it’s out in Europe and North America on March 9 – the next big thing for Final Fantasy fans is likely to be PS3 exclusive Final Fantasy Versus XIII. However, those hoping to get a closer look at the game at E3 2010 might be out of luck.
According to Tetsuya Nomura, Kingdom Hearts designer and the guy in charge of Versus XIII, the team had hoped to show off the game at this year’s E3, but at the moment it’s touch and go if this will happen.
“We planned to show Versus to the public at E3,” Nomura told Japanese video game magazine Famitsu, “but it’s become an uncertain situation.”
It’s not all bad news, though, Nomura also said that “development is going well”.
Final Fantasy Versus XIII is set in the same universe as Final Fantasy XIII, but features an independent story, different character and a unique visual design.
