The deal will enable System 3 to publish Ferrari licensed games for the PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS and PSP. The first game will be based on the Ferrari Challenge series and will feature real cars, real tracks and true Ferrari racing dynamics.

The launch platform is the PlayStation 3 and System 3 says that the game has been developed to maximise the new technology in the console, such as a 16-player online mode with elements never before seen in a racing video game.

The PSP and DS versions will each feature 4-player wireless play including game sharing and the Wii game will fully support the unique controls offered by the system – this will include control by a Wii steering wheel.

The first press showing of the Ferrari Challenge game will take place on June 23. System 3 will also use this day to announce further titles including, Ferrari Street Racer featuring the whole range of Ferrari cars.

Video games and racing have been my two passions during the twenty-five years that I’ve been in the business. Finally the two have collided and I’m immensely proud to be bringing the Ferrari Challenge to market this year,” said System 3, CEO, Mark Cale. “We have invested in the best development talent in the industry and I’m confident that the game will be even more impressive than the license.

Look out for more info in June.
