Koei has announced that Fatal Inertia, its Unreal Engine 3 futuristic racer that was initially only coming to PS3, is now to be released only for Xbox 360 in September.

Speaking to 1UP, a Koei rep said: “The PS3 version is delayed indefinitely. This is due to the completion of the Unreal Engine 3 for the PlayStation 3.“

Although unlikely to be a bona-fide system seller, Fatal Inertia certainly has the potential to be a solid racer and its Unreal Engine 3 visuals have impressed.

The game promises single and multiplayer modes, eight racing series, six racing environments and full race craft customisation.

Fatal Inertia is scheduled for release only for Xbox 360 across North America on September 11. The game’s European release is also set for September.
