Focus Interactive has announced that its hit agricultural sim will be getting a Nintendo Switch release in November, called the Farming Simulator Nintendo Switch Edition. Yes, it’s another farming game.

Players will be able to fulfil their harvesting dreams at home and on the go, immersing themselves in a huge open world where new farming opportunities crop up at every turn. There are a multitude of farming activities to get involved with over hundreds of acres of land, as well as a detailed new North American environment to till until the cows come home. Naturally the Switch edition will be getting some touch-screen features when played in the undocked mode, and to be fair it looks to be a pretty good fit for the hybrid platform.

In Farming Simulator, players can harvest a number of different crop types, from soya to sunflower seeds. There are even opportunities to manage a range of livestock, including cows, sheep, chickens and even pigs. Sadly, there are no alpacas or llamas. The goods created can be harvested and sold to expand the farm even further, with the player being able to deliver the fruits of their labour to their destination.

The news of yet another farm sim coming to the Switch will greatly please fans of the genre, and probably have others groaning at the thought of another farm yard caper. Whatever your thoughts on the matter, you really can’t say the software landscape on Switch is the result of fallow land any longer.

Farming Simulator Nintendo Switch Edition will be released in November.Â
