Ubisoft’s next Far Cry game will take players to the Ice Age and focus on tribal combat, according to a pair of leaks posted online ahead of the title’s imminent reveal.

The game is allegedly called ‘Far Cry Primal’ and expected to be the same title currently being teased by Ubisoft in an ongoing livestream. According to Kotaku, the game will feature “woolly mammoths, tigers, and other prehistorical animals”, and may include “tribal combat using bows and spears”. The stream also hints at bears, saber-toothed tigers and rhinos.

Don’t expect it to feature dinosaurs, though, because you know, that was a different time period.

An alleged leak by IGN Turkey, meanwhile, corroborates the name and appears to show the first screenshot, revealing tribesmen equipped with spears and clubs. The Twitter account on which the leak appeared has since been suspended.

Ubisoft teased earlier this year that it would be announcing a major AAA title this autumn due for release before April 2016. This is probably it.

The publisher has yet to comment on the leak but, if I were you, I’d probably expect an official announcement some time later today.
