Xbox LIVE champ Larry ‘Major Nelson‘ Hryb has announced a slew of new additions to the Xbox One’s backwards compatibblity lineup, with Far Cry 2 heading up a list that includes some notable last-generation gems.
Aside from Ubisoft’s open-world action-RPG (remember those awesome fire effects? No one’s done it better since), the lineup also includes Driver: San Francisco, the 2011 sprawling racer from Ubisoft Reflections, and Rebellion’s ultra-tough World War II shooter, Sniper Elite V2.
Sniper Elite V2, Far Cry 2 and Driver San Francisco (available on disc or digitally if previously purchased) are coming to Xbox One Backward Compatibility today https://t.co/qPMRNrLoTQ pic.twitter.com/TEuMUtcyNk

Those of you who already own any of the above titles on disc or digitally will be able to fire them up right away on Microsoft’s bulky box. If you don’t, then you can still grab them by purchasing the games from the Xbox Marketplace — you know the drill by now, folks.
