Bethesda's charismatic poster boy Todd Howard has revealed that Fallout 76 will stop players who are under level 5 from getting killed in PvP events.

Speaking during an interview with Multiplayer.it (via PST), Howard was quizzed how the team are going about preventing players from camping around outside the vault to bump off unsuspecting folk.

One of the measures being taken is that you won't be able to die until you've reached level 5. On the other hand, Howard admitted this could change before release.

'There are several tricks we are implementing to prevent the other players from doing exactly the things you describe. For example, at the moment you can not kill a player until he reaches level 5,' he said.

Howard also offered an unequivocal 'yes' when asked if fast travel would be included in the game.

Fallout 76 is a departure from the traditional entries in the series, in that it's an online adventure that sees you going up against only human players. The game expands on the settlements mechanic seen in Fallout 4, and gamers can lob nuclear weapons all over the map to dynamically change its landscape and irradiate the area.

Fallout 76 is due out on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on November 16.
