Bethesda Softworks has announced that its post-apocalyptic action RPG, Fallout 3, has enjoyed record sales at launch, with approximately 4.7 million units of the game shipped worldwide.
Sales across Xbox 360, PS3 and PC represent in excess of $300 million at retail. The game entered the All Formats All Prices UK video game chart at No.1 and also charted at No.1 on the three individual format charts.
Fallout 3 is slated for release in Japan on December 4.
