Eye of Judgment is a unique title in development in collaboration with Hasbro, bringing together the appeal of trading card games with the power of the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Eye camera.

The game will come with a deck of 30 cards, a nine field play mat and a special stand which will position the PlayStation Eye over the play mat. Players then draw five cards from the deck and the game begins. The goal is to control five of the nine fields on the game mat.

Your opponent places a card on the mat, and by scanning the code on the card the PS3 is able to bring the card to life in the game. You must now look through your hand for a card you feel with be able to defeat your opponent’s card. Place the card in a field adjacent the rival card and battle commences, with fully realised 3D visuals. The battle then continues with each player taking turns to place new cards on the game mat.

Players can battle against AI opponents, or a real life opponent either online or using a single console. In addition to the 30 included cards, a total of more than 100 cards will be available to buy at stores from launch.

Sony’s not able to commit to a precise date just yet, but has said the game will be in stores this autumn.
