Square Enix has today announced that it is publishing Taito’s Exit DS across Europe and PAL territories in October 2008.

As Mr. ESC, a professional escapologist, players must rescue people from dangerous situations. With over 100 emergencies requiring the help of Mr. ESC, players will have to become the ultimate escape artist to rescue victims in the fastest way possible, with saved characters able to be enlisted to help move heavy objects, master trick obstacles and help each other.

Previously released for PSP and XBLA, this Nintendo DS edition promises some of the most stylish graphics and character animation to be seen on the handheld platform. Additionally, the controls have been overhauled to take full advantage of the touch screen.

The game will also feature Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support, enabling players to upload their fastest mission completion times and compare them against the times of other players.

Exit DS is scheduled for release across PAL territories in October.
