Evolution Studios, the Sony-owned dev studio behind the MotorStorm series, is trying to squeeze as much as it can from PS3, Evolution Games Director Matt Southern has told Nowgamer.

“We’ve always tried to push the hardware to its limits and almost tried to show the rest of the development community what is possible, as well as openly share tips on how we made those things possible,” said Southern.

He added: “Whenever we look back at a project, we find that most of the things we thought would be impossible have become a reality, due mainly to a core of veteran technicians who optimised the hardware for our use on a daily basis. But it has been a very intense development cycle, we’re trying to squeeze as much as we can from PS3, so we’ve gone all-out on it.”

MotorStorm Apocalypse is due for release on PS3 on March 18.
