Evolution is planning to release a “big DriveClub update” in October, the developer has teased.

While details on the update have yet to be revealed, the developer says that it will launch around the same time as new Custom Lobbies for Multiplayer, along with ongoing free Sprint mode tracks each week until Christmas.

“Starting from today we’re going to bring you new Sprint mode tracks for free every week until Christmas!” Evolution said. “Nilgiri Hills in India and Taapaca in Chile are here first, go play them now!

“We’re also working on a big #DRIVECLUB update for next month and Custom lobbies for Multiplayer to launch around the same time, so keep sharing your feedback about the game with us here.”

You can catch a video of the new Sprint mode tracks in action below.

The update may be planned to coincide with the game’s one year anniversary, which takes place on October 10.

Earlier this year, Sony confirmed that Evolution would be restructuring to allow it to “focus on DriveClub as a service going forward”, a process that reportedly led to around 50% of the studio’s employees being made redundant.
