Publisher Dangen Entertainment has revealed the release date for upcoming tactical roguelite Evertried as October 21, 2021.

Set in the afterlife, you’ll play a fallen warrior trying to ascend a mysterious tower. To do so, you’ll have take on waves of foes in turn-based combat, where enemies only move after you do. You’ll be switching between movement, attacking, using skills and luring your opponents into hazards to win and progress to the next floor of the tower.

Successful hits or outright defeating your enemies will increase your Focus Level. A higher Focus Level means more shards, and unlocks special Modifier powers. Conversely, staying still or moving with no actions will decrease the Level, so it’s in your best interests to keep up the pressure. You’ll also have use of a Dash move, allowing you to close the distance or traverse a floor super fast.

There’s fifty floors to climb across five areas, each with new types of enemies. Naturally, there’s shops on every floor to spend your shards on, and Floor Guardians provide a test of your mettle as boss battles at the end of each area. Death will see you lose all your powers, but you’ll retain your Skills mastery levels into your next run.
