At long last, long-running MMO EverQuest has announced March 16 as the date it is going to finally change over to a free-to-play model.
SOE has set its plans in stone to make the change-over, coinciding with the MMO’s thirteenth birthday.
The firm has already stated its plans to close EverQuest’s Mac server in the wake of the business model shift, due to lack of players.
EverQuest originally launched March 16, 1999.
