Earlier this week we reported that the latest software update for the PSP would include a number of new features, the big one being a web browser. The update for Japanese PSPs is now available from the official Sony site, ready for those who wish to update their imported PSP.
It has now been confirmed that, in contrary to earlier reports, that the European PSP will ship complete with software version 2.0. This is bad news to those wanting a European PSP for homebrew apps, but on the plus side your PSP will come complete with a web browser.
