The latest system update brings with it a number of new features and enhancements, including improved support for popular music file formats (now compatible with MP3, ATRAC, AAC and WMA), streaming podcasts and saving them to a Memory Stick, and the ability to display Flash content. The update also prepares the PSP to act as a receiver for Location-free TV, which is set to launch in Europe in May.
LocationFree TV allows you to view the TV via your PSP, watching live or playing back recorded programmes. It even allows you to set future recordings all from your PSP. LocationFree will be available in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium and Netherlands from May 2006.
The 2.70 firmware upgrade can be downloaded directly to the PSP browser via WiFi or to your PC via www.yourpsp.com.
