Eternal Sonata – known as Trusty Bell in Japan – has been confirmed for release on PlayStation 3 by Famitsu. The latest issue of the magazine states the game will be released in Japan in 2008 – we’d assume a Western release will follow.

Eternal Sonata is a beautiful RPG based around the final hours of Frederic Chopin’s life, during which he is believed to have entered into a dream world filled with other people who were also suffering from incurable diseases. Chopin died from tuberculosis.

Eternal Sonata is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 across Europe in October.
