The folks behind Fortnite, Epic Games, have announced that they're aiming to sort out some type of account-linking fix for those who had to create different accounts to play on PlayStation 4, as well as PC and Xbox One.
While Epic Games doesn't state this plan is because of Sony's recent announcement that cross-play is coming to the console for some third-party titles, it basically is.
1) An account-merging feature to combine Battle Royale purchases, coming in November.
2) Enabling unlinking a console from one Fortnite account, and relinking to another Fortnite account. Coming in a few days.

People were very cross when they discovered that playing the game on Sony's black box meant they had to create a separate account. Sure, it took some time, and some shouting from the community, but it seems to be finally sorting itself out, thankfully.
You're well aware of how popular this game is by now; Noel mentioned it in this week's Bake Off for the love of God.
Today, you can have a bash off season 6, too, which has an updated map, some new skins, consumable shadow stones, and more.
