Midway and Epic Games have announced the minimum and recommended system requirements for the PC version of Unreal Tournament 3. Given the advanced engine on which the game runs, it’s expected that top-end hardware will be required in order to get the best experience, but gamers with low end systems will also be catered for.

According to Epic the minimum system requirements are Windows XP or Vista, 2.0+ GHz single core CPU, 512 MB RAM, 8GB hard drive space and only a NVIDIA 6200+ or ATI Radeon 9600+. Given these specs the majority of PC gamers should be able to play Unreal Tournament 3.

The recommended specs are understandably quite a bit higher: 2.4+ GHz Dual Core Processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB hard drive space and a NVIDIA 7800GTX+ or ATI x1300+ video card. The x1300 appears out of place alongside the 7800GTX, but we’re only passing on the info delivered by Epic.

Unreal Tournament 3 on PC is scheduled for release in November.
