Nintendo has confirmed that Endless Ocean will be released across Europe on November 9. The game will see players exploring the ocean using their Wii Remote and taking part in various activities such as swimming, looking for marine life and cataloguing tropical fish.

The game will allow players to do as much or as little as they like, with the relaxed and calm atmosphere giving players the freedom to explore locations including shipwrecks and underwater ruins or simply relax in the soothing environment.

Although offering an open experience the game will provide players with missions, such as photographing marine life, which will unlock content including new items and diving gear. Alternatively players can choose to sit back on the deck of the boat and watch the sea, view all previously seen fish in an aquarium or leave the game untouched to watch a tranquil screensaver.

The experience needn’t be a solo one with players able to connect with a friend over WiFi Connection and go diving. Here players will have access to all the tools from the single-player game and can communicate using the d-pad.

Endless Ocean is scheduled for release on Wii across Europe on November 9.
