Organisers of the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) have announced that the 2007 event, the fifth edition of the competition, will be held between the 5th and 7th of July 2007.

Based at the Expo Park of Paris, the event will pit 1,000 qualifying gamers against each other, and organisers hope to attract around 50,000 visitors to watch and enjoy other side events.

Qualifiers will be run from January and will include games such as Counter-Strike, Warcraft, Quake, Pro Evolution Soccer and Nadeo’s Trackmania, with the top players from each country being picked to attend the finals.
