Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been revealed, and it will be a direct sequel to 2006’s mega-successful Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Bethesda’s Game Director and Executive Producer Todd Howard announced the game at this weekend’s VGA awards.

The CGI trailer doesn’t go into specifics about the plot, but there’s an overarching thing about Oblivion’s hordes of nasty demons making their apocalyptic return on the planet. There’s also some waffle about yet another chosen one popping up to defeat them, which will almost certainly be the player.
