Everything we know about Elden Ring Nightreign Deep of Night
Aside from its release time, there’s very little we officially know about Elden Ring Nightreign Deep of Night prior to its overview trailer. Fortunately, we have leaks to fall back on, and PC players have also been experiencing the mode early thanks to the luxury of mods.
What we can gather from leaks is that the mode is basically an endless run. As more enemies spawn, the game’s difficulty increases. A leaked description reads, “Targets cannot be chosen, and difficulty increases with depth. Victory increases your rating, allowing you to proceed unto ever greater depths… The boundless dark stretches out unto infinity”.
In addition, leaks suggested the mode will have five “Depths,” and that each have a rating of 999. Reaching the top rank will give you a ranking of 6,000+, and you can’t be demoted to a previous rank once you hit it.
Lastly, it’s reported that this ranking system will tie into a new skill-based matchmaking system. As you play, your rank will increase based on a number of factors, and it will allow you to randomly team up with players on your skill level to keep diving deeper.
In other Nightreign news, a brilliant mod adds 6-player co-op, and leaks claim FromSoftware’s next game is so advanced “we should be able to play it next year”.
